Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)

CASA volunteers are ordinary people who do extraordinary things for vulnerable children. They are trained and supported to promote the best interests of abused and neglected children to make sure they do not get lost in the system designed to care for them. Please download an application form.

To Volunteer, you must:

  • Care about the needs of children
  • Be a minimum of 21 years of age
  • Make an 18 month commitment to the program
  • Submit a written application, agree to a criminal records check, provide references, complete a personal interview and attend an intensive training program.
  • Have no DSS history
  • Be able to commit 3-5 hours per week

 

Adolescent Advocacy Mentoring Project (AAMP)

Volunteers are trained and supported while they mentor foster teens and teach them the importance of connection as they learn independent living skills. Please download an application form.

To volunteer, you must:

  • Be able to connect with young people.
  • Be a minimum of 21 years of age
  • Make a 12-month commitment to a young person.
  • Have a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
  • Submit a written application, agree to criminal records check, provide references, and attend an intensive training program.
